Former Australian skipper Michale Clarke, who led his country to a memorable triumph at the 2015 World Cup, played with some of the best cricketers throughout his career. When Clarke made his international debut in 2003, Australia had a team full of superstars like Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Shane Warne among others.
Clarke played with some of the best batsmen throughout his impressive career with the Australian side but when asked to pick the best batsman he ever saw, the former Aussie skipper named Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Regarded as one of the best batsmen of all-time, Sachin holds the record for most runs in both ODIs and Tests.
Clarke said Sachin was the hardest batsman to bowl to and had no technical weaknesses. He also revealed that as his opponent, he would often wish that Sachin made a mistake to get out. “Probably technically the best batsman (Sachin Tendulkar) I ever saw. The hardest batsman to get out. I think Sachin, technically, didn’t have a weakness. Part of you hoped that he made a mistake,” Fox Sports quoted Clarke as saying on the Big Sports Breakfast radio show.
