 On This Day in 2002 Sachin Tendulkar Scored his 29th test century 117 Runs Vs WI. India bat first 38/2. once again, Tendulkar and Dravid came to their rescue added 124 runs for the 3rd wicket.

 Sachin batted for almost 6 hrs in his 260-ball knock. With this ton, Tendulkar equalled Don Bradman’s record of 29 Test centuries. India Won By 37 Runs Historic Win !

 a innings that set up victory for India in Port of Spain. With better support around him, Sachin's centuries were no longer solo efforts and started leading to more wins for India.

It was a special effort from two special boys.

TEAM : S Tendulkar, A Ranatunga S Afridi, S Anwar A D'Silva S Jayasuriya, C Vaas, s joshi v prasad, a jadeja. and many more. Prime Minister I K Gujral inaugurated the stadium,  Clive Lloyd and Alvin Kallicharan of the West Indies, Zaheer Abbas and Hanif Mohammad of Pakistan, Sunil Gavaskar, S M H Kirmani and E A S Prasanna of India -- were honoured on the occasion.
